This skills programme will equip practitioners with the necessary knowledge and skills to operate as a Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) at an administrative, practical and strategic level.

Methodology:  


Virtual Learning:


The programme is run over 3 days which are split into 2 x 1-day components.

For the first 2 days of the programme, we gain an overview into the role of the SDF, understanding related legislation and the outcomes-based education approach to learning, conducting a needs analysis resulting in the completion of Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR), skills development administration.

Learners return to the workplace to investigate current skills development practices and their organisations existing quality management policies and procedures for learning and development.

Learner return to the final day of the programme (approximately 2-3 weeks later) to understand and review the design and development of quality management systems for continuous improvement of learning and development in the workplace.

- Identify learners' learning needs.
